Innovation never stopped

Things we

Leading is not a claim you make. It is a list of things that did not exist in Australian schools until we built them.

1st in Australia 1996

First into China

We were the first Australian school to recruit directly in China. Others followed.

1st in Australia 2003

BroadLEARN and On-Arrival

Australia’s first nationally accredited program for students aged 9 to 12 from non-English-speaking backgrounds. Judges gave it special commendation.

We asked to be tested 2016

We reviewed everything

Our Colloquium Process brought outside experts in to challenge our own curriculum. The result: a course that builds confidence and study skills, not only English.

A new benchmark 2024

The Extended Day Program

Students stay at school until 6pm twice a week for tutoring, activities and a shared dinner, then a tracked bus home. A new benchmark for student care in Australia.

Accreditation

Registered, accredited and compliant

Awards are earned. Accreditation is the floor — the checks a school must pass before it can teach international students in Australia at all.

CRICOS 00500B

Our registration on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students, which every Australian provider must hold to enrol international students on a student visa.

NEAS Australia

Quality endorsement for English language teaching, including gold-standard Premium Product Endorsement for the High School Preparation Course.

Independent Schools Queensland

Member of the peak body for Queensland’s independent schools.

English Australia

Member of the national association for the English language sector.

What this means if you are choosing from overseas

Rankings are a starting point, not an answer. The Top 100 judges looked at fees as well as results. That is why our place on that list means more than results alone: a strong school your family can afford.

The awards also tell you where a school puts its effort. Ours has gone into the parts a parent overseas cannot see — the English course, the homestay families, the hours after 3pm. That is what independent judges keep returning to.

Read this page alongside our academic results, which are the numbers behind it, and our university pathways for international students. Our guide to choosing an international school lists the questions worth asking. Some of them are questions we would rather you asked us directly.
