Looking forward, being brave and accepting challenges were the themes of Speech Night 2019. The College Principal, Mrs. Spiller spoke passionately, encouraging our departing Year Twelves to consider, ‘What’s next?’.

For our international students, ‘What’s next?’ could be a world of opportunities from tertiary education in Australia to sports scholarships overseas. We are proud to say that our international students are constantly future-focussed, goal-orientated and determined to ‘be the future’. This was evidenced at Speech Night when 42% of the Year Twelve cohort who received an Academic Honours Awards were John Paul International College graduates.

A special congratulation to:

  • Tianyi WANG from Beijing, China who received Proxime Accessit of Year 12 'The Foundation Teacher's Prize', the second-highest academic Award of year 12
  • Nam NGUYEN from Hanoi, Vietnam who received Proxime Accessit of Year Eleven, the second-highest academic Award of year 11.
