International Students Shine at John Paul College Speech Night 2024

Celebrating the Success of Our International Students at John Paul College Speech Night 2024

This year's Speech Night was an extraordinary celebration of academic excellence, and we are incredibly proud to recognize the achievements of our international students. These students walked across the stage to receive numerous academic awards, including the prestigious Academic Honour (awarded to students in the top 10% of their cohort) and recognition as top students in their subjects from Year 5 to Year 12.

This year is particularly special, as we are honoured to celebrate two international students who received major awards:

Their accomplishments reflect their dedication, perseverance, and embodiment of the values we hold dear at John Paul College.

While not every achievement is marked by an award, each student's hard work and dedication are deeply valued and recognised within our community. Every effort, big or small, is a step forward on the journey, and we look forward to seeing the continued growth and success of all our students. This year's award recipients inspire us all, reminding every international student of the rewards that come with perseverance and commitment. Keep striving, embracing each challenge, and know that your dedication today is building the foundation for tomorrow's accomplishments.

One of the keynote students, who arrived at our school with limited English skills, exemplifies the remarkable journey of many international students. After completing our High School Preparation Course at John Paul International College (JPIC), this student transitioned to the main school and went on to excel academically, demonstrating what hard work and determination can achieve.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of their homestay families and the guidance provided by the International Student Services Office. Their commitment has been crucial in helping these students thrive, not only academically but also in their personal development.

We are incredibly proud of all our international students and look forward to seeing more success stories unfold in the years to come.
