John Song was in the top 3% ATAR in 2021. He is currently studying a double degree Bachelor of Mathematics and Bachelor of Engineering Honours at the University of Queensland.
He started at JPC in 2019, travelled from Hong Kong to Australia to start the High School Preparation Course at JPIC for one term, to equip himself with all the language skills that would allow him to enter John Paul College mainstream classes in Year 10.
John was quite active in Performing Arts during his Senior Years at JPC.

| I learnt a variety of instruments like the great professional musicians in Australia. It also provided me the opportunity to join different ensembles and to actually work with musicians in a collaborative and different collection of music pieces, so it was a great opportunity.

If I was to say something to the John that arrived to Australia three years ago, I would say, don't go back and don't be afraid of anything because you are surrounded by support; and knowing what you're doing and staying ahead. Be active and always ask questions when you have doubts! JPIC staff are always around and help you; they're happy to answer any question. I don't think any question is useless, and as long as you ask, they will help.
