How to get your International COVID-19 Certificate for international-students

​​​​Steps to get international COVID-19 Vaccination C​ertificate​

  1. ​ Make sure that both of ​​your vaccination doses appear on your DOMESTIC certificate​ and your name is the same as your passport (does not have to be in the same order). 
  2. You need: 
    1. your Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI) number (in your MyGov account​ and on your Domestic COVID-19 Certificate). 
    2. Your passport to check your name and passport number
    3. Your mailing / post address 
    4. Your email address 
  3. Call the Australian Immunisation Register​ on 1800 653 809 (Option 1 then 3). They are open from Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm. You can come to the international office during lunch or morning tea to do this if you want. We can help. Bring your phone. 
  4. Follow the prompts on the phone call to speak to the correct people 
  5. Say to the person on the phone 
    1. “I need an International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate and need to ask for it on the phone because I am on a student visa. I cannot do it online” 
    2. “If possible, I would like it emailed to me as I might be travelling soon” 
    3. Tell them how you verified your identity to get your vaccinations – probably your passport. 
  6. ​​The people on the phone will probably say that they can only post the certificate to you. 

So, you must make sure you tell them your correct address.
