Science
Level 5A started the term by investigating acid/base chemistry. Students studied the properties of acids and bases, how they react with one another and other substances, as well as a variety of real-world situations. In the laboratory students used litmus paper to identify the pH of a number of solutions, as well as a key detailing a variety of techniques to identify a number of unknown solutions. They have since started investigating the Rock Cycle and are preparing to start their next major written assessment item.
