 International family arrivals

International Families Arrive at JPIC

This week, we welcomed students to our campus for the start of Term 1. While the first students were mainly primary students here with parents on a Guardian Visa, each day we have welcomed more students to campus.

On Thursday, we were excited to welcome our very first student to fly to Australia as an independent student going into Homestay. Amanda, from Taiwan was welcomed by her homestay family with open arms and was very excited to buy her uniform and meet her new High School Preparation teacher, Mrs Vanessa.

Today, we welcomed three siblings from Vietnam. David (Year 12), Mark (Year 10) and Katie (Year 5) Primary Prep. David enters Year 12, while Mark, who had participated in our High School Preparation Online Course in Vietnam now commences Year 10. Katie enters our Primary Preparation Program for Year 5.

It is indeed very reassuring to see confidence returning as parents are once again confident to choose Australia and John Paul College for their students' future education.

First Week at JPIC

We were excited to welcome our international students back to campus this week. It has been wonderful to see the students interacting with their teachers and new friends from around the world. These connections help to support a seamless transition to their main course at John Paul College.

In the first week there are many activities students undertake to get ready for laptop orientation, timetable routine and school lockers.

We also celebrate Lunar New Year giving each student a traditional red pocket for good luck and prosperity.

JPIC is committed to ensuring our Primary Preparation and High School Preparation curriculum is up to date to support our international students when they transition to main school classes.
