In 2025, John Paul College achieved a median ATAR of 91 — our highest on record. 53% of students scored 90 or above, 32% scored 95 or above, and 12% scored 99 or above. QCE attainment was 99.4%. The ATAR is the rank used for university entry in Australia.
Through the JPC CARE program and the JPC SOARING Tree, our own Positive Psychology wellbeing framework. Together they give students a sense of belonging, supervised study and tutor support, a focus on health and wellbeing, and safe, supported accommodation.
The JPC SOARING Tree is our own wellbeing program, created by JPC and used across the secondary years. Based on Positive Psychology, it builds character through six areas: Strong outcomes, Activity engagement, Relationship building, Interest pursuing, Noticing and self-regulation, and Giving and guiding others.
JPC offers Premium Homestay, where students live with a caring, checked local family, plus 24/7 pastoral support and specialist welfare for students under 18. The Extended Day Program adds homework support, workshops, wellbeing activities and a community dinner on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Students can follow a university pathway through the QCE and ATAR, or vocational and career pathways. Entry is available from Year 9 to Year 12, with four intakes a year — January, April, July and October.
