John Paul College is an Australian school in Brisbane. In 2025, more than half our graduates earned an ATAR of 90 or higher — the top 10% in Queensland.
Students start in a preparation program that matches their English level. When they graduate from the Preparation Courses, they join regular classes at John Paul College across primary and secondary school. During the Senior Years 11 and 12, they work towards a strong ATAR — the score Australian universities use to offer places. Many go on to leading universities in Australia and overseas. Explore the pathways below to find the pathway that’s right for you.

John Paul College is in Daisy Hill, on the southern side of Brisbane. The campus is 33 hectares of natural bushland, with koalas in the trees beside it. The city, the airport, the universities and the beaches are all a short drive away — so students live somewhere green and quiet, and still reach everything.
Summer (December–February) 27–30 °C · Winter (June–August) 20–23 °C · sport outdoors in every term. Queensland does not use daylight saving, so the time difference with home never shifts through the year.

The College sits against protected bushland. That is why the campus is 33 hectares of trees rather than a city block, and why students walk to class past gum trees instead of traffic.
The nearest suburb to the campus, and typical of the neighbourhoods our homestay families live in. Everything a family needs day to day is here, and the school run is barely a journey at all.
University is not an abstraction here. The nearest campus is ten minutes down the motorway, so students see where the pathway ends long before they get there.
A real capital city, but a manageable one — safe, walkable and small enough that a family finds its way around within a fortnight. Close enough to enjoy, far enough that your child grows up with grass and trees.
Brisbane is a direct destination from many cities across Asia and the Pacific, so most families travel without changing planes. That matters more than it sounds when a young student is flying for the first time.
One of the largest sand islands in the world, sitting in Moreton Bay directly east of the College. A common weekend trip for host families.
Straight down the M1 from the campus, and the reason Queensland students grow up swimming. The quieter Sunshine Coast is about an hour and a half in the other direction.
Travel times are approximate, by road, and depend on traffic. College bus services and TransLink public transport cover this area, and our International Team will confirm which routes reach a given address. More about Brisbane and Queensland · See the campus map
