International Primary Preparation Course Overview
The International Primary Preparation Course
(CRICOS: 049712G) prepares students aged 9 – 12 for entry into the Australian Primary School system. Classes are held for five and a half hours per day from Monday to Friday.
Students are immersed and taught only in English – not only language skills but also Mathematics, Science, Technology, Physical Education and Art. Our graduates are fully prepared to enter mainstream academic classes with Australian students from Years 4 to 6.
Our highly qualified teachers are experienced in handling students of all cultures. Our teachers are registered with the Queensland College of Teachers and hold qualifications in teaching English as a Second Language.
Course Structure and Articulation
The preparation programme will help students make the transition to John Paul College. Confidence will be enhanced as success is achieved in developing the essential learning skills that prepare students to become independent thinkers and full participants in mainstream classes.
Orientation to the classroom, school, local community and to life in Australia are all integral parts of the programme.
This course is a good choice for parents able to accompany their child for the duration of their studies in Australia on the Guardian Visa programme.
