the EAGLE
SPRING/SUMMER 2012
T
he Year 12 formal was held
at MODA Portside and organised
by Head of Year 12, Mrs Susanne
Jamieson, Mrs Stephanie Ingham
and the Year 12 Formal Committee.
e evening started on a fantastic note with
the arrival of the students by all modes
of transport including fire engines, army
vehicles, boats and stretch hummers.
Dressed to impress, the students enjoyed
arrival soft drinks on the balcony with the
Brisbane skyline as the backdrop. As the
sun set over the river, our young men and
women were welcomed in a receiving line
by the Headmaster, Mr Peter Foster and the
Chairman of the Board, Mr Mark Fenton.
Once inside, everyone was treated
to a wonderful meal followed by some
beautiful waltzing learnt under the guidance
of Mr Rodney Davison and Mr Anthony
McCray.
As the night progressed, students and
staff enjoyed each other’s company and there
were numerous photos taken to capture
precious memories.
After lots of dancing, the night drew
to a close and the Year 12s, despite their sore
feet, left smiling and happy. Overall, it was
a tremendous evening thoroughly enjoyed
by all in attendance.
