Queensland Youth Art Awards

John Paul College Year 8 international student, Via Lim from South Korea, has won the Queensland Youth Art Award.

The Queensland Youth Art Awards has grown to become South East Queensland’s premier student art exhibition, exhibiting works by students ranging from Year 6 to Year 12. The exhibition is open to all schools in the SE Queensland region and each school involved contributes the highest standard art works from Visual Arts students in all of the seven age groups. The exhibition displays hundreds of works of fine art; drawings, sculptures paintings photographs and mixed media works and John Paul College hosts this prestigious event on a rotational basis. The exhibition was founded to provide young artists with a venue to exhibit their work and receive public comment and recognition. John Paul College students from Year 6 to year 12 were represented in this exhibition and we include some of their artwork.

Via was also awarded an Academic Honour, the Applied Design Prize and German Prize at the College’s recent Speech Night. See list of major prizes please click here
