The Cum Laude and Pro Diligentia Awards ceremony is about achievement and performance in academics.

These Awards are different from those presented at Speech Night, which are based on rank order and it is the top ranked students who attain the prizes.

At the Cum Laude and Pro Diligentia Awards Ceremony we acknowledged and celebrated the excellent academic achievements and success of students.

As the students were announced and presented across the stage, it was very gratifying to see so many international students being presented with their certificates.

It is not easy to come to a new country, a new education system, often a new language, a new school, a new home and then succeed in open company. It is pleasing to see that the new John Paul International College curriculum is having a clear impact in preparing the international students for such future success, alongside their participation in the co-curricular programme.

Since 2012, the number of international students achieving a Cum Laude Award has increased from 21 to 39 representing growth from 16% to 29%.

Of our current Year 12 cohort, approximately 30% of international students achieved a Cum Laude Award or a Magna Cum Laude. For the highest Award, the Summa Cum Laude (GPA 13+), a remarkable 35% of the awardees were International students.

Congratulations to all students who received Awards.
