John Paul International College offers a High School Preparation Course (HSPC) for students entering Year 7 to Year 11 at John Paul College. Students may begin at the start of any term (four terms per year, starting in January, April, July and October) depending on Year entry.
High School Preparation Course (HSPC)
John Paul International College HSPC prepares students from age 12 for entry into the Australian High School System. Classes are held for five hours a day from Monday to Friday. Students are taught in English - not only language skills but also Mathematics, Science and Business.
Students will be placed in classes according to test results on arrival. To progress to the next class, students must pass an exit test at their current level. John Paul International College graduates are fully prepared to enter mainstream academic classes with Australian students.
The Certificate III in Core Skills
The Certificate III in Core Skills is intertwined with John Paul International College’s High School Preparation Course (HSPC) and English Language Preparation (ELP) programs. The program runs concurrently with these regular programs and gives students a nationally recognised qualification without additional study hours.
On successful completion of the program, students will gain a Certificate III in Core Skills. The Certificate III allows students to enter the Certificate IV program offered at JPIC, where upon completion they can apply to highly-respected universities in Australia and New Zealand.
