PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Certificate III in Core Skills:
- Is intertwined with John Paul International College’s High School Preparation Course (HSPC) and English Language Preparation (ELP) programs.
- Runs concurrently with these regular programs.
- Gives students a nationally recognised qualification without additional study hours.
- Is tertiary sector endorsed
- Opens tertiary study options
Entry Requirements
Students must have:
- English Proficiency suitable for entry into HSPC Level 4
- Completed the equivalent of Year 10 in the Australian school system
Pathway Opportunities
On successful completion of the program, students will gain a Certificate III in Core Skills. The Certificate III allows students to enter the Certificate IV program offered at JPIC, where upon completion they can apply to highly-respected universities in Australia and New Zealand. In Queensland, these universities include:
- Griffith University
- Queensland University of Technology
- Bond University
- University of Southern Queensland
- University of Sunshine Coast
- Central Queensland University
- Australian Catholic University
Program Duration
Full Time: 20 weeks

There are four intakes each year:
- February
- April
- July
- October
These dates coincide with the term start dates. Applications can be made any time prior to the commencement of the term.
